New Broken Vessels Ministry (NBVM) of Capitol Heights, Maryland
is a 501(c)3 tax exempt non-profit ministry which strives to support and teach women with children and widows how to be self-sufficient through the teaching of biblical principles as it relates to personal and business issues. NBVM also provides food and clothing to the needy.
Many single parents find themselves raising children without father figures and without a second paycheck. They may also face the challenge of going through divorce, raising step children and more. The bible teaches that older women should instruct younger women. Many of the problems women are facing our staff have already lived through.
“Sometimes women just need someone to talk to who is really interested in them. We provide a listening ear and Godly wisdom,” said Thelma Lee, Founder and Director of NBVM. “In fact, we have bible study that meets every Friday and gives women a chance to ask all sorts of questions.”
For the last several years, New Broken Vessels Ministry donated children’s coats as well as some personal items to an elementary school in Capitol Heights, MD for the children. New Broken Vessels Ministry also donated bibles and other items to various individuals in Prince George’s County, Maryland. In addition, some homeless people were provided temporary shelter.
